UIPM宣布将通过举办世界五项锦标赛增加运动员奖金

  • New reward for top 12 individual finishers in flagship 2025 competition
  • Enhanced athlete recognition forms part of RAM Swiss Watches partnership
  • President Stull salutes ‘most versatile athletes in the world’

The Union Internationale de Pentathlon Moderne (UIPM) has announced an increase in athlete prizemoney for the 2025 season, supported by long-time sponsor RAM Swiss Watches.

For the first time, the top six finishers in each of the Women’s and Men’s Individual categories at the UIPM Pentathlon World Championships will be rewarded with prizemoney, matching the provision already in place for the UIPM Pentathlon World Cup Final.

The initiative is in line with UIPM’s commitment to enhance recognition of the world’s most versatile athletes. With its commercial profile growing, the International Federation will distribute as much new revenue as possible among the athlete community, providing both a reward and a performance incentive.

UIPM President Rob Stull OLY said: “Pentathletes are the most versatile athletes in the world, and their effort and commitment to the innovative changes in our sport warrant higher levels of recognition and reward.

“We are on an exciting trajectory now with a new format that is going to dazzle the world at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. It’s important that athletes feel the benefits of commercial growth as well as enjoying the evolving sporting challenge.

“On behalf of the Executive Board I’m delighted and grateful to RAM Swiss Watches for supporting the initiative to introduce prizemoney at our flagship World Championships, starting with this year’s edition in Kaunas.”

Pierre Portman, CEO of RAM Swiss Watches, said: “RAM Swiss Watches is pleased to provide prizemoney for special events as part of its partnership with UIPM for the 2025 season. RAM has been a passionate sponsor, partner and friend of Pentathlon for over 13 years and last year extended its membership agreement until 2028.”

The UIPM 2025 Pentathlon World Championships will take place in the Žalgirio Arena in Kaunas, Lithuania, from August 26-30.
